BEIJING, May 3 (Xinhuanet) -- Chicago Bulls' guard Derrick Rose has been named the NBA Most Valuable Player on Tuesday, according to sport news Tuesday.

At the age of 22, Rose has become the league's youngest recipient ever. Averaging 25 points per game and 7.7 assists, Rose lead the Bulls to an NBA-best 62-20 record.

He became the first point guard in history, and the only the fifth player ever, to post 2,000 points, 600 assists and 300 rebounds in one season. The four others are Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, LeBron James and John Havlicek.

Paul George and Roy Hibbert combined 52 point as the young duo led Indiana Pacers to beat Miami Heat 91-77 on Saturday, drawing the series back 3-3 to force a Game Seven.
